Guided Meditation for Change: Change IS Possible

How Sleep Meditation Works

You can use guided meditation for change and see great results.

A restful night’s sleep is critical for our long-term health and mental well-being.

However, getting enough sleep — and good quality sleep — is a demand we frequently fail to satisfy.

Taking sleeping medications is both addicting and harmful, and most of us find that simple breathing or mental exercises are ineffective.

Sleep meditation, on the other hand, works in perfect rhythm with our natural sleep cycles and can help us fall asleep quickly.

Guided sleep meditation is the effective, non-addictive, and non-addictive answer you’ve been seeking for if you’ve been struggling to get a good night’s sleep.

If you want changes in your life, try guided meditation for change.

An Overview of Natural Sleep Cycles

A whole night’s sleep is divided into multiple cycles, each of which lasts 90 to 110 minutes on average.

Individual cycles are separated into REM (Rapid Eye Movement) and NREM (Non-REM) sleep, with REM taking up proportionately greater time as the night passes and one cycle follows another.

As most people are aware, REM sleep is when we dream; nevertheless, there is still no clear consensus on what purpose dreaming serves.

NREM sleep is further broken down into three stages.

N1 is a period of tiredness that leads to a gradual loss of consciousness.

The primary electrical activity in the brain shifts from the Alpha wave (7–13Hz), which is associated with relaxation, to the Theta wave (4–7Hz), which is associated with the subconscious.

Without consciousness, N2 is a transitory period characterised by high-frequency spikes. N3 is a type of deep sleep characterized by sluggish Delta waves.

The Dangers of Inadequate Sleep and Inappropriate Solutions

Most adults need 7 to 8 hours of sleep every night, however a small percentage of us (approximately 3% of the population) may get by with less due to a genetic mutation.

The circadian rhythm, a form of natural inner clock that impacts hormone levels and body temperature, governs the time of sleep during the day.

Attempting to defy the circadian cycle is just as foolish as not getting enough sleep.

Long-term sleep deprivation has been associated to a doubling of heart disease risk, as well as an increased risk of high blood pressure, Type 2 diabetes, and obesity.

Depression and bipolar disorder are two psychological risks.

The process of falling asleep in the first place is all too often problematic.

We just can’t seem to turn off, and the issue is exacerbated during stressful moments in our lives when we don’t need it the most!

Pills and alcohol are two basic methods for attempting to fall asleep, but they can have long-term consequences and can disrupt our natural sleep cycles.

When drinking, for example, nightmares are considerably more common because REM sleep is repressed in the early cycles until the alcohol wears off.

After that, the brain has a lot of “catching up” to accomplish, which leads to extraordinarily vivid dream imagery.

Let me take you now on how guided meditation for change works.

Sleep Meditation and Sleep Cycles

Sleep meditation is a far superior option, and because to advancements in brainwave entrainment audio technology, it has grown even more successful in recent years.

Traditional meditation has always been beneficial in quieting the mind and assisting relaxation, but it is a discipline that requires a lot of effort and that only a few people can master.

Thankfully, new sound recordings have become available, allowing everyone to benefit from sleep meditation, and the effects can even be felt after you’ve gone to sleep.

What gives that this is possible?

A well-designed sleep meditation recording exposes the brain to periods of each frequency associated with falling asleep, gradually moving you down through Alpha, Theta, and Delta sleep.

We must achieve this Delta state since it is here that the body’s repair systems kick into high gear, producing anti-aging and growth hormones and even driving cellular DNA regeneration.

The deepest Delta sleep is found in the first sleep cycle, which is the one we have the greatest problem slipping into.

Traditional meditation can help you go asleep, but it can’t keep your brain resonating at the Delta frequency for as long as a sleep meditation CD can.
